Zlatan Ibrahimovic should complete his long awaited move to Manchester United by the end of the week, according to reports from BBC Sport.

With Sweden having been eliminated from Euro 2016, and Zlatan’s subsequent retirement from international football, it now appears as both parties are able to go ahead with the move with the striker stating his desire not to represent Sweden at the Olympics later this year.

The former Barcelona forward is a free agent having left Paris St Germain on the back of four successive Ligue 1 titles, the latter of which he scored a tremendous 50 goals for the Parisian outfit in all competitions.

Ibrahimovic will leave PSG a club legend.

Within his 4 campaigns he helped his side to 4 league titles, 3 Coupe de la Ligue trophies, two Coupe de France’s and three more Trophee des Champions – in total a whopping 12 titles in 4 years.

Last season’s Bundesliga top scorer and the current African Player of the Year, Aubameyang is wanted by near enough every top club in Europe, including United’s noisy neighbours Manchester City.

The striker scored 37 goals in all competitions last season, and caused German and European defences a real headache with his lightening pace and runs in behind.

Despite stating his interest in a move to Spain, the speedy forward’s future remains up in the air.

Anthony Martial

United’s player of the season last time out, Martial managed to score 17 goals and provide 5 assists – mostly from wide positions in what was a terrific breakthrough campaign.

The young France star was originally signed as a striker however, and looks all the more dangerous when he plays through the centre.

Could he make the move inside?

Antoine Griezmann

Despite Griezmann having signed a new deal with current club Atletico Madrid, a move away from the La Liga giants could still be on the cards, according to the Mirror.

It is thought the new contract could have been a ploy to command a bigger transfer fee for the Frenchman, which now could been the region of around £83 million.

It is certainly a huge fee – but Griezmann is a world class forward.

Marcus Rashford

England’s best player of Euro 2016 – all in less than 20 minutes of football.

The young striker was used as a late sub against both Wales and Iceland, and looked full of confidence, being quite happy to run at defenders with the ball and take men on out wide and inside.

The Old Trafford wonderkid has really stated a claim for a starting position next season, and if he can continue the kind of form he showed in his debut campaign, there could be no-one better for the Red Devils.

Who is to say Ibrahimovic needs a strike partner? The Swede is more than accustomed to playing alone up-front having done so for previous clubs PSG, Barcelona and Ajax.

In fact the only times he hasn’t played lone up top are the seasons he spent in Italy, in a league in which defences are so formidable that playing a lone striker is not an option.
