These Arsenal fans gush over Joe Willock vs Vorskla Poltava

Arsenal travelled to Kiev last night ahead of their eagerly anticipated north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, and Unai Emery took the opportunity to start a handful of fringe youngsters with one eye already on the weekend.

Indeed, Emery started the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith-Rowe and Joe Willock in Ukraine as Arsenal aimed to top the group with a win, and that’s exactly what they did.

The game was effectively wrapped up before half-time as Smith-Rowe, Ramsey and Willock all got on the scoresheet by the time the referee called time on the first-half.

Willock’s goal was his first senior strike for the club, as he opened up his body to curl the ball into the bottom corner of the net in a manner which evoked memories of Thierry Henry.

With a commanding physical stature and textbook technique, Willock showcased various aspects of his ability during the Europa League clash, and he earned plenty of praise from the supporters for his performance.

The 19-year-old may not be in the side for his goal scoring prowess, but the manner in which he burst forward before scoring the killer third goal certainly hinted that he can offer a clinical edge in the final-third.
