What a season it’s shaping up to be for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern.

The Blues are on course for a league and cup double and the odds are looking favourable towards Antonio Conte’s men, as the Italian boss looks to round off what has been an impressive first season in English football for himself.

Conte’s tactics have really rejuvenated Chelsea’s season and led them to touching distance of both the Premier League and the FA Cup.

Our landlord believes that Chelsea’s squad have really worked hard this season to rectify the wrongs of their mid-table finish last season, which saw them miss out on European football altogether.

The same outcome this season would simply have not been acceptable but the Blues in the Tavern are thrilled with how the season has gone.

With that said, not every player has got a fair chance at Stamford Bridge and this includes the youngsters at the club.

Our landlord has noticed that there have been so much youth unable to break down the walls at Chelsea and has even suggested they leave in order to reach their potential.

He goes on to add that many of them would walk into any other top club in England, and has outlined below who he thinks should make a move from Stamford Bridge….

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

The 21-year-old should have had much more first-team experience than he has at present, and the Chelsea fans in the Tavern are shocked that Loftus-Cheek has not had more of a go in the first team this season.

However, with the likes of N’Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas seemingly ahead of him in the central midfield position – our landlord believes it is time for the England U21 international to test the waters at another club, and take another route in his rise to the top.

Kenedy

Back from a mundane loan spell at Watford, our landlord feels Kenedy will need to leave Stamford Bridge in order to get the most out of his promising career.

Though seemingly the perfect alternative to Marcos Alonso in the left wing back position, the form of the Spaniard has meant Kenedy cannot get a look in to the current Chelsea side and a move elsewhere may benefit him no end.

Dominic Solanke

With Diego Costa and Michy Batsauyi ahead of him at present, alongside the return of Tammy Abraham to the club in time for next season – boss, Antonio Conte has stated that Solanke will leave Chelsea at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Our landlord believes this is the best move for a clearly talented striker, and highlights how hard it is for a Chelsea youth team player to make it into the first team at the club.
