These Liverpool fans are concerned by Dominic Solanke’s omission from PSG squad

Liverpool travel to face PSG tonight at the Parc des Princes in a fixture which could make or break their dream of qualifying for the knockout phase of the Champions League.

When Roberto Firmino netted a late winner to deservedly clinch all three points against the French giants on matchday one, it appeared that Liverpool were destined to reach the next round of the competition.

But the ride has been far from easy ever since, with two away defeats against Napoli and then Red Star Belgrade putting them in a precarious situation with just two fixtures left to play.

Ahead of the trip to France, the Liverpool Echo confirmed Jurgen Klopp’s 21-man squad who have made the trip, which included a shock call-up for Rafael Camacho.

Camacho’s surprise inclusion certainly caught the eye but, significantly, he was selected ahead of Dominic Solanke, despite the fact he notched four goals in two games during the international break.

His omission from the squad is hardly surprising when judged in the context of his lack of involvement so far this season, but add Camacho’s inclusion into the equation and an altogether different reaction is produced.

Indeed, Liverpool supporters took to Twitter in light of the news to question what more Solanke needs to do to get into the squad, and plenty have suggested that it’s a sign his future lies away from Anfield.

Here’s what the fans had to say about Solanke following Klopp’s decision…
