These two Man United players need to leave if Lucas Moura joins this month

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are becoming a little excited at the prospect of a new signing possibly coming through the Old Trafford doors.

United have long been linked with bringing a winger to the club and having missed out on one in the summer window, Mourinho will be making sure he gets his man this time around. The Red Devils are in desperate need of strengthening in four key areas this window, with our punters believing them being a left-back, a centre-midfielder, a left-footed winger and a backup striker to Lukaku.

If United are to progress and add more silverware to the trophy cabinet, Mourinho knows he needs to bring in the above as soon as possible.

However, United have been linked with their possible next signing for many a year, and the move finally looks likely to happen with game time at PSG becoming a rare thing for Lucas Moura.

If Ed Woodward does get the Moura deal over the line, our landlord takes a look at two possible players that would be seeing the Old Trafford door…

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

With the possible incoming of Moura, it will bring Antony Martial and Marcus Rashford into the middle to start to play in their preferred positions. With that happening, Zlatan will surely be knocked further down the pecking order, which is something that won’t sit well with the Swede.

However, possible moves to China and America have long been touted as a possible destination to take the Zlatan brand as he aims to bid farewell to a magnificent career. With both leagues starting their seasons in March, an early move wouldn’t be a surreal idea.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Despite being at the club only 18 months, the Armenian has had a topsy-turvy career at Old Trafford already, seeing some major highs and a lot of lows in that 18 months. When he first came to the club he sat out the first part of the season, as he struggled to find his feet and settle into his unfamiliar surroundings.

Since then, he’s showed Mourinho the player he could be, before having another wobble in recent months which has led to him being used as a makeweight in various deals in order to ship him out of the club.
