The January window is only around the corner and the Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are already getting the rumours of the summer window in now.
News is emerging out of Old Trafford that Jose Mourinho is keen to tie up an early deal for Valencia wonder kid Carlos Soler. The 20-year-old Spanish midfielder is regarded as one hottest properties in the European market at the moment and our Tavern punters believe United don’t want to be drawn into a bidding war come the summer months, meaning they want a deal wrapped up quickly.
United have a host of players coming to the end of their contracts at the end of the season including Carrick, Fellaini and Herrera, so our landlord thinks Mourinho will want to freshen things up in the Red Devils’ ranks. Not just in midfield, though few would doubt the fact that the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ will invariably strengthen his whole squad next summer.
Having said that, these two players could follow the Spanish under-21 star to Manchester as the Portuguese gaffer looks to add more dynamism to his team…
Harry Kane

Long-term United target Harry Kane has elevated himself this season to another level in the Premier League. Now over his August slump to fire goals for both club and country on a regular basis, the 24-year-old is certainly one of the best in the world.
A United move for the England stand-in captain would surely reach Neymar and Mbappe prices and more than likely start a bidding war between themselves and Real Madrid, though the sight of Kante lining up with Theatre of Dreams alongside with Romelu Lukaku would surely make United Champions League favourites.
Danny Rose

United to sort their left-back situation out, more than anything.
This season, they seem like they’re just making do but with Shaw out of contract next season and no real recognised back up in the squad, Mourinho may want to go with a tried and tested player in that position.
A Spurs-based double swoop for Kane and Rose would be an unbelievable coup for the Red Devils and will hit their rivals hard, as well as strengthening perhaps the weakest position in their squad.
