The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern want Antonio Conte to be their manager for a very long time…
The Italian has enjoyed his stint in London so far, having picked up the Premier League trophy in his first season. This season is looking comparatively more difficult, though with just two games gone, there is still time for the Blues to improve drastically.
However, surprising reports have emerged today linking Thomas Tuchel with the job at Stamford Bridge, with Bild reporting that the German has been lined up to replace Antonio Conte imminently.
It would be a huge shock, especially after Chelsea’s win against Tottenham on Sunday, but stranger things have happened in football.
Chelsea have reportedly since come out at denied the rumours, but that has done very little to calm the nerves of supporters. They clearly feel as though the reports must have come from somewhere, and so they are seriously sweating on the prospect of a Conte departure.
Whether it happens soon or at the end of his current deal, it appears as though Tuschel would, at the very least, be a candidate – and the Chelsea fans on Twitter are not happy with that at all…
