Our Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Transfer Tavern hit the roof last night as Fulham threw away a certain win in the last minutes of the game against Blackburn.
Indeed, the Whites lost the game in rather shocking circumstances as Lucas Joao hit the equaliser for Rovers deep into stoppage time in the second half.
Added to that, the Cottagers had only just regained the lead less than ten minutes earlier as they looked to continue their surge to the play-offs and so, whilst they’ll be disappointed, many have breathed a sigh of relief.
Indeed, the likes of our Sheffield Wednesday punters were certainly puffing their cheeks out at the end of the game in celebration with them very close to dropping out of the top six at the moment.
And, with Joao the winner as a man on loan at Blackburn from Wednesday, he was naturally the target for much of the jubilation.
