Paul Pogba’s first season in charge has, for the most part, been a disappointing one – much to the disappointment of the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern…
Having failed to live up to his price tag, Pogba’s performances have been under the microscope all season long. N’Golo Kante, Chelsea’s major summer signing, meanwhile, has been widely praised.
On Tuesday night, however, Kante put in a rare poor performance whilst playing for his native France, and as they so often have this season – debate quickly moved towards whether his poor display reflects his supposed inferiority to Paul Pogba.
Indeed, it is a debate that has frequently come up in conversation in the Transfer Tavern in recent months, but Kante has often responded with good performances – but his performance for France seemed to show a number of vulnerabilities in his game.
