After Nottingham Forest broke the news that they had signed Greece midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis, fans have taken to Twitter to show their displeasure.
The 27-year-old joins Aitor Karanka’s already crammed midfield, which has caused some fans to question the club’s recruitment policy, as they believe they lack attackers.
Whilst some fans criticised the player, and how he is relatively unknown, most fans have showed their anger towards the club and those that signed the player.
Tachtsidis has played 25 times for Greece, and has played for a host of clubs in Europe, particularly in Italy and in his native land. He brings with him a lot of experience, having played in the Champions League for Olympiacos most recently.
He is renowned for his passing range and precision, although his athleticism has been called into question in the past.
Forest already have one of the largest squads in the Championship after a busy summer recruiting.
This is what the fans had to say:

Who??

Why?! Our squad is massive! Harmony amongst players if we have a bad run is going to be near impossible to manage- why aren’t we focusing on the players we have and getting the best out of them? If we don’t go up, we’re going to be in financial turmoil!

Another player who will be deemed ‘surplus to requirements’ soon. 2yr deal!?

Perfect to slot alongside Watson and Colback in a 4-6-0 formation. You Reds

Far too many midfielders. Hope he’s better than what we’ve got #nffc
