Leeds United managed to see off the challenge of Derby County on Friday night and extend their lead at the top of the Championship.
Prior and following the conclusion of the game, a lot of the talk was about the ‘spying’ Marcelo Bielsa had done a day earlier at their opponent’s training ground – something the Argentine boss admitted during his pre-match interview.
However, Keith Andrews made a comment that one fan picked up on before kickoff that some did not appear to agree with.
One person took to Twitter stating that the Sky Sports pundit had said Leeds were better off without Pontus Jansson in the team.
The Sweden international saw the tweet and replied in a hilarious way that some of their fans would have surely loved.
Dear Keith (know idea who you are), i try my best to help my teammates and play good football for my club, if you have any advice how I can be good enough in your eyes I’m ready to listen…
— Pontus Jansson (@PJansson5) January 11, 2019
Jansson has become somewhat of a cult figure at Elland Road with the supporters and has been an integral player of the side since arriving in Yorkshire.
The Verdict:

Jansson’s response to Andrews’ comment will have been well received by fans at Leeds and many would have likely found the funny side to it.
There is no doubt how important the Sweden international has been for the Whites over recent campaigns and is a hugely popular figure at Elland Road.
Leeds will want to put the whole ‘spying’ saga behind them quickly as they look to continue their charge for Premier League football.
Leeds fans – thoughts?
