‘Ticks a lot of boxes’ - Chelsea fans have identified a potential Conte replacement

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see some major changes at Stamford Bridge this summer. Antonio Conte’s supremacy has come to a grinding halt, and at this point, it’s uncertain that he will even make it to the end of the season.

This summer, then, alterations could come in the form of personnel and managerial changes, and Conte certainly could move on.

Who would replace him remains to be seen, but the Chelsea fans over on Twitter think that Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri could be a fantastic choice.

Allegri has overseen quite the period of dominance for the Italian giants, leading them both domestically and in Europe, and he’s taken over mantle seamlessly following the departure of Antonio Conte himself.

A move to Stamford Bridge, then, could be seen as a natural step, and that’s certainly something that a fair few Chelsea fans appear to be behind.

With some point towards his tactical awareness, and others simply viewing him as the best option given the alternatives, it’s fair to say that Allegri is a popular man.

Ok so had a thought about #CFC and
1) Allegri in the summer….
2) then get Terry back at summer in some capacity in the club, we need his leadership etc and a voice betweeen board and manager etc
3) Squad clear out…let’s get rid of the ‘done’ players & flirting abroad ones

If it were me I would go with Allegri. He ticks a lot of boxes for me. Great CV and he’s managed 2 huge clubs so would not be out of his depth at Chelsea. Chelsea do like an Italian. #cfc
