Time to get real: These 2 Everton players are seriously out of their depth

Our resident Everton fans are singing the praises of Ronald Koeman this afternoon.

The Toffees boss has instilled real hope into the fanbase that their club can compete with the top six this season.

That’s despite losing top scorer Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.

The Belgian who netted 25 times for Everton last season has so far been replaced by Spaniard Sandro Ramirez – though Everton are also reportedly keen on Lukaku’s compatriot Christian Benteke.

After recruiting Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane things are looking up at Goodison Park.

And even without Lukaku, Koeman’s side look certainties for another top eight finish this season. Whether they can bridge the gulfing gap to the top six is up for debate.

There are a number of players who could hinder the team’s success this season.

Our landlord has pinpointed TWO Everton players who are out of their depth at the club….

ADEMOLA LOOKMAN

Clearly the youngster has bags of talent, and by no means should Everton sell the forward.

However, it’s already looking ominous that Lookman will be afforded limited game time next season.

The 19 year-old who won the Under-20 World Cup with England signed for the Toffees from Charlton in January.

However, he is inexperienced and unlikely to play.

With Everton looking for a new striker, perhaps Koeman would consider loaning him to lower league opposition.

OUMAR NIASSE

The 27 year-old striker has not enjoyed his spell on the pitch in England since making the switch from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2015.

Niasse had a short stint on loan at Hull City, but failed to impress, much to the disappointment of Everton fans last season.

Reports claim that Fenerbahce are interested in the Senegal international.
