The Manchester City fans by the bar here in the Transfer Tavern are talking up their chances of winning the league this season.

City boss, Pep Guardiola has been busy bringing in new additions to his squad this summer.

The Spaniard has already recruited Kyle Walker, Bernado Silva and Brazilian shot-stopper Ederson.

Meanwhile, reports claim City are getting closer to completing the signings of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco and Real Madrid’s Danilo.

The Citizens have also allowed a number of squad players to leave this summer as Guardiola continues to revamp his side. Aleksandar Kolarov, the latest set to leave The Etihad.

The BBC claim that the Serb is expected to complete a move to Roma in the coming days.

Further departures are expected for some that currently remain in the dressing room and should move on for the good of their career.

We’ve picked out TWO Man City players that are seriously out of their depth…

FABIAN DELPH

The midfielder enjoyed a few more games for City last season, but not nearly enough to make an impact in Pep’s team.

Delph, who signed from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015 has been shelved for the majority of his spell in Manchester. City do need to keep their homegrown players to suit domestic regulations, but £8m Delph is simply out of his depth.

FERNANDO

The Brazilian only made five Premier League starts for Guardiola’s side last season. The holding midfielder who is as strong as an ox, is also weak in a tackle.

Surprisingly, there are no rumours over a possible departure this summer, but the unassuming 29 year-old is simply below the level City aspire to reach. Fernando is not an unsung hero, he’s just unsung.
