Everton fans down in the Transfer Tavern have the rest of the summer to enjoy while their rival fans panic over transfers ahead of the new season.

Indeed, Ronald Koeman’s side have been both efficient and effective this summer, getting their dealings out the way early and integrating their new arrivals into the team.

The Toffees have splashed out on six signings so far, including English youngsters Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford, while they have also recruited experience in Wayne Rooney.

England’s record goalscorer has netted twice in pre-season since returning to Goodison Park, following 13 years away from the club at Manchester United.

Everton are now gearing up for a Europa League campaign which begins on Thursday with a qualifier against MFK Ruzomberok.

A number of Koeman’s men will be wondering just how they will figure into the Dutchman’s plans next season… Well, these TWO players definitely shouldn’t…

 Phil Jagielka

The England international has enjoyed a great run with the Toffees since arriving from Sheffield United in 2007 , but last season the 34 year-old showed signs of a decline.

To his own admission, the Everton captain is unsure of his future at the club. Jagielka appears to have been replaced by Michael Keane.

 Oumar Niasse

The winger was shipped out on-loan to Hull City last season, but did impress scoring five times in 19 appearances.

Still, the 27 year-old who is on £55,000-a-week at Everton has been unable to shift Koeman’s opinion on him.

The Toffees have just added Sandro Ramirez to their forward line and Niasse has since dropped even further down the pecking order.
