The Chelsea fans in the Tavern were disappointed with John Terry’s performance on Wednesday night…

The Chelsea captain has been on the sidelines for several weeks, and in his absence – the Blues have hit a run of form.

With Antonio Conte switching to a 3 man back line, the trio of Azpilicueta, Luiz and Cahill have made the defence their own in recent weeks.

However, the EFL Cup clash against West Ham on Wednesday offered Terry a route back into the team – and unfortunately for the Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern, he looked very disappointing on the night.

He looked out of place and out of sorts as part of a 3 man defence, as Chelsea crashed to a 2-1 defeat against their London rivals.

The Chelsea fans have been in the Tavern all day discussing the Chelsea captain – and whilst they hate to say it, many of them fear that John Terry’s time is up.

They were all unanimous in their disappointment at his performance – and they feel that the game could have been his last chance to impress Antonio Conte.

Our landlord was pretty shocked about that – considering that the Blues often stand by their captain no matter what. As a result, he has taken to Twitter to see if the feeling is mutual amongst Blues fans around the world.
