It seems as if Alan Pardew’s annual slump is coming a tad early this season, with the Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern lamenting a man they once touted as a hero. 

The Eagles find themselves in 16th position after a poor start to the campaign, despite a hugely expensive summer in the transfer market.

Chrisitan Benteke’s arrival broke records at Selhurst Park, while big names such as James Tomkins, Loic Remy and Steve Mandanda were also drafted in.

Still, though the playing staff is packed full of talent, ‘Pardiola’ isn’t exactly proving himself to be a revelation in the dugout for the south Londoners.

Though he has performed well at times since joining in January 2015, the ex-Charlton and Reading coach is seemingly slowly losing the support of the fans who once revered him ever so much.

With all this in mind, here are THREE reasons why Crystal Palace simply must act quickly and sack Alan Pardew.

Poor game management

The late loss at Burnley proved Alan Pardew’s inability to manage a game properly.

It’s not often that sides under his tutelage actually manage to hold on to a result, even after playing well in the match, and that’s not something you’d have associated with the Eagles prior to his arrival.

If Palace want to grow into the next level, they need a man more capable of securing results.

The Future

Following on from the aforementioned point, how can the south London outfit plan for the future, and perhaps a new stadium, with such an inconsistent boss at the helm?

What they need to do is buckle down and consolidate in order to provide a solid base from which to launch, rather than the fluctuation of form that has so far defined Pardew’s career.

Blame game

It’s not often Pardew moves to blame himself following a loss, rather talking up irrelevant aspects of his team’s performance.

In turn, comments of that ilk have a negative impact on the fans, who will loudly disagree with the 55-year-old, further creating a poisonous atmosphere during match days.
