Much has been made about the links in regards to Tottenham Hotspur’s best players of late by the punters in the Transfer Tavern, particularly by those supporting Spurs.
The likes of Dele Alli and Kyle Walker have been touted as potential targets for Manchester City in recent weeks, though Pep Guardiola has recently revealed he’s not after Alli, in particular.
As a result of the Spaniard’s comments, the north London locals were feeling rather relaxed.
However, a story from Bleacher Report has sparked concern once more. They claim that, while City aren’t keen right now, they could make a move for Alli in the summer of 2018.
Indeed, the report claims there is a ‘strong possibility’ the Citizens will launch an attempt to land the England international next summer, with it being almost impossible to land him in a few months time.
If Alli is to go, many of the Spurs fans in the bar are hoping it’s for the likes of Real Madrid, rather than a Premier League move.
