Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left in limbo this season with the new stadium. The club was supposed to have it ready for the home game against Liverpool after the international break but after it failed some fire safety checks it seems no one knows when it will be ready. According to The Daily Mail, though, the club could be forced to wait until the start of next season.

Spurs fans everywhere were delighted last season when they thought they’d played their last home game at Wembley. The Lilywhites failed to take to their temporary home and they’d much rather have been able to play somewhere other than the national ground. However, now it seems their Wembley woes may continue as the Premier League could force them to play the rest of the season at the stadium.
Last season saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side record some big wins at the stadium, with Spurs overcoming Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United there. That hasn’t changed the mood at all though and with the club confirming that they’d be playing all three of their Champions League group stage games at Wembley it looks like they could be stuck there for much longer than they wanted to be.

As painful as this is to come to terms with, the club should have really does this from the beginning and saved all of the backlash they are likely going to receive now.
