Tottenham fans are still getting over the fact that they haven’t signed a new player for over a year now, even though the transfer rumours keep coming their way. This time, the links are from Tuttosport, via Sports Witness, and they claim that Tottenham could be set for a shock swoop for Arsenal target Ivan Perisic.

The reports claim that over the January window, whilst Arsenal were trying their best to secure the Croatian, his ideal transfer would have taken him to the Gunner’s North London rivals. As it happened, Unai Emery failed to bring in the 30-year-old winger, and now it looks like the Lilywhites are in the driving seat to sign the winger when the summer comes around.
Perisic is a player who has been excelling in Europe throughout his career, which peaked last summer in the World Cup when he helped Croatia to the final of the competition and scored in both the semi-final and the final. However his numbers for Inter this season have dwindled and he’s managed just three goals and two assists in 20 Serie A appearances, so whether or not he’d be a good option for Spurs is yet to be seen.
