Despite exiting two cup competitions in a matter of days, Tottenham fans are remaining optimistic this season. The Lilywhites crashed out of the Carabao Cup on penalties before bailing out of the FA Cup to Crystal Palace. However, the fans refuse to get downbeat, and this report from TEAMtalk linking them with Youri Tielemans has helped.
[@TEAMtalk] understand Tottenham Hotspur could be ready to make a move for Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans who has been made available on loan.

Leicester City were supposedly looking to bring the Belgian midfielder in this month to help bolster their squad. However, Claude Puel has supposedly cooled his interest in the World Cup bronze medalist, opening the door for Mauricio Pochettino to bring the 21-year-old in. If this deal was to go through, it could prove to be a smart swoop from Poch as he looks for a long-term Mousa Dembele replacement.
The young midfielder came through Belgian side Anderlecht’s youth academy, and with the Jupiler League side being the ones to produce Vincent Kompany, Romelu Lukaku and Dries Mertens, the Lilywhites can be excited over links to Tielemans. The youngster could easily become the next big star to make a name for himself after coming through Anderlecht, and Tottenham Hotspur could be the club to give him the platform to do just that.

Would be a good signing imo. What do you think Ricky? I know we haven't signed anyone, but imagine we didn't necessarily need to sign anyone, would you take him?

This won't happen because it's a win-win transfer that makes perfect sense for everyone involved

The Lilywhites love the idea of signing Tielemans, yet again it looks like a transfer that will never materialise.
