The odds would have been heavily in Harry Kane’s favour when betting on who would score the first hat-trick in the newly opened Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, yesterday we all saw the first treble go in, and it was scored by the ever-impressive Lucas Moura, who was at his very best in the Lilywhites’ 4-0 win over Huddersfield.

The second game of the Premier League weekend, after the Friday night clash between Leicester and Newcastle, saw Tottenham smash Huddersfield 4-0. Tottenham fans will have loved it as they made it three wins from three in their new home, and the momentum they got from the win will have been huge as Mauricio Pochettino’s side prepare for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Lucas Moura was the man of the moment for Tottenham yesterday, and there is no reason why he can’t be the star of the show at The Etihad on Wednesday too. The Brazilian scored his eighth, ninth and tenth goals of the season in the Premier League, bringing up double figures in his full debut season in the league. Spurs fans are starting to realise just how useful a player Lucas Moura is, complementing the likes of Heung-Min Son and Christian Eriksen playing around him.

The Lilywhites were truly in awe of Lucas yesterday and will be desperate for him to put in a similar display against Pep Guardiola’s Man City on Wednesday.
