After watching your side smash six goals in away from home, it’s easy to get carried away with how good you are going forward. However, for the Tottenham fans celebrating their 6-2 win over Everton from yesterday, it’s worth pointing out how well Davinson Sanchez faired on his return from injury after missing the last nine games with injury.

Injuries have crippled Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham team this season, but no matter how many players seem to be missing, the Lilywhites just keep getting results. It always helps to have a lad like Harry Kane who manages to stay fit, but most of the club’s players have suffered a setback here or there this season, so when Davinson Sanchez returned yesterday it was a huge relief for the fans.
The Colombian defender joined the club back in summer 2017, and it’s fair to say that he’s not looked back since making that move. The former Ajax man is a real gem in this Spurs side under Pochettino, and he could well become one of the best defenders in the world at this rate, so keeping him fit has to be a top priority, especially if this Tottenham side is serious about winning things.
