According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, transfer talks are still ‘ongoing’ between Tottenham Hotspur and Beijing Guoan for South Korea star Kim-min Jae – with Daniel Levy eyeing him as a potential coup for Spurs.
The Daily Mirror also report that Spurs could be set to bid for the 30-cap colossus following Chelsea’s emerged interest, but Longari has taken it a step further with his claim that the Lilywhites are currently in contact.
He is nicknamed the ‘monster’ and is a rising star in Asia, as the Mirror also claim, with the defender looking firmly on the Levy shortlist as Tottenham entertain centre-back options.
Kim-min Jae desperate for Spurs
Min-jae has been on Tottenham’s radar since last summer, with reports suggesting he even rejected the possibility of joining Lazio in favour of the Lilywhites.
Indeed, the 24-year-old seemed desperate to sign at one stage, with claims back in 2020 revealing he was ‘waiting for Spurs’ to make their final offer as he wanted a move to the English capital above all else (Jason Lee).
Now, Longari says that Spurs are still in ‘ongoing‘ talks over his signature, and with Chelsea’s fresh interest, they could return for the 6 foot 3 star this month as they allegedly prepare a bid.

Time will tell whether they land him this month, but judging by these past claims, Levy could hold an advantage over other competitors given his alleged fondness for Tottenham and the presence of Son Heung-min.
30 international caps for his country at a fairly young age is impressive, and Spurs could land a gem if they do decide to heighten their interest further.
