Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have grown frustrated with Christian Eriksen this season, with the Dane becoming an easy target for criticism.

This comes as the 27-year-old has refused to sign a new contract with the club, despite his current deal coming to an end in the summer, as per Transfermarkt.
Therefore, there has been a good reaction to the news that he could be heading to Real Madrid during the January transfer window:

This seems like a positive development for Spurs, judging by the response of many fans, as it would allow them to get a fee for him, while the general consensus is that he has not been at his best this season, possibly due to the midfielder’s attention being elsewhere.
In 11 appearances across the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup, Eriksen has managed just 1 goal and 1 assist, as per Transfermarkt, while he also missed a penalty in the shootout loss to Colchester United.
