Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are encouraged after the Daily Mirror revealed that they have reignited their interest for Everton’s Kevin Mirallas as they hope to tempt the Toffees with Aaron Lennon in part exchange.
Spurs are hoping that they will leave Everton in a tough situation with their late surge for the Belgian international who controversially stole penalty duties from Leighton Baines in the West Bromwich Albion fixture recently.
Mauricio Pochettino is looking to liven up his squad and is desperate for fresh faces in attack this January and they are hoping that they can swap their longest serving player Lennon in order to help push the deal over the line.
However, their chairman Daniel Levy knows that there is big difference in the value for Lennon and Mirallas and understands that they will have to pay them a fee as well as the player exchange.
Spurs are also potentially preparing for life without Emmanuel Adebayor with Paris Saint-Germain, QPR and Stoke City all interested in his services.
In the build up to January it was considered as a no-brainer that Pochettino was going to raid his former club for the services of Jay Rodriguez but those rumours have subsided with the England cap still currently out injured for the Saints.
