Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs lining up a move for Watford ace

Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move for Watford ace Pervis Estupinan in the summer.
According to AS, Estupinan has attracted attention from a number of European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United, but Spurs have now entered the mix.
The 22-year-old has spent the past season on loan at CA Osasuna to mark three years in La Liga.
Although the left-back is yet to make his debut for the Hornets, he has impressed for Osasuna this term, featuring in 27 games in the Spanish top flight, scoring 1 goal, creating 3 assists, making 2.7 tackles per game, averaging 1.8 interceptions, and completing 1.5 clearances on average (WhoScored).
Despite his heroics so far, the £6m-valued prospect has struggled to break into Watford’s first team, it seems his time at Vicarage Road is coming to a premature end. His contract with his parent club is set to expire next year.
Jose Mourinho is in the market for a new full-back, as Ben Davies remains the club’s only viable option on the left flank.
Last week, David Ornstein revealed Danny Rose has signed a new contract extension with Newcastle United, which will keep him at St James’ Park until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Mourinho is adamant Rose is not a part of his plans for the future, and Magpies boss Steve Bruce has previously suggested a permanent deal makes perfect sense.
As the Englishman is seemingly heading out the door, this has left a gap in the squad that urgently needs filling and the Osasuna loanee could be the man to replace Rose in North London.
It is rather baffling that Estupinan has lacked opportunities at Watford, given his obvious talent, but it remains to be seen if Daniel Levy can compete with the likes of Barca, Atletico and United for his signature. Indeed, his valuation will no doubt increase if the transfer battle intensifies.
