Chelsea have endured an inconsistent beginning to the 2026/27 campaign under Xabi Alonso, with the Blues still searching for greater consistency after the opening weeks of the season.
There have been encouraging moments, but Chelsea have also dropped points and conceded goals at a worrying rate, leaving Alonso with plenty to work on as he continues to shape his squad.
One of the biggest positives has been the emergence of several exciting young players, with Estevao among those attracting plenty of attention.
The Brazilian was one of Chelsea’s major investments before joining from Palmeiras, and his performances have already started to generate interest elsewhere in Europe.
Chelsea Make Estevao Transfer Stance Clear
According to TEAMTalk, Chelsea have established a clear position on Estevao’s future despite continued interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Blues paid £29 million to bring the attacker to Stamford Bridge after moving ahead of their European rivals to secure his signature from Palmeiras.
Despite the attention from Spain, Estevao — described as a “genius” by Tunisia coach Sami Trabelsi — is reportedly happy with life in London and remains focused on establishing himself under Alonso.
The report states that the teenager “remains settled in west London”, is “thoroughly enjoying life at Chelsea” and is “determined to establish himself as a regular under head coach Xabi Alonso, dismissing any exit talk.”
That will come as a significant boost to Chelsea given the calibre of the clubs monitoring the youngster.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have both followed Estevao closely since his breakthrough in Brazil and continue to regard him as a player with the potential to reach the very highest level.
Barcelona are reportedly “particularly enthusiastic about the prospect of eventually bringing Estevao to Catalonia”, with the opportunity to play Champions League football and develop alongside established stars potentially forming part of their appeal.
For now, however, Chelsea have little interest in listening.
TeamTalk reports that the Blues are “in no mood to entertain Estevao offers” and “have no intention of entertaining offers for the player.”
That underlines the importance Chelsea place on the young forward, who was signed with the expectation that he could become a major figure at Stamford Bridge.
With Estevao also determined to prove himself in Alonso’s side, there appears to be little reason to expect a move away from Chelsea any time soon, despite the continued attention from Barcelona and Real Madrid.
