Yes that’s right, the Ghanian Hiplife star and new cult hero of the North East, Asamoah Gyan, is off to join Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu.
In a shock move, Mourinho has targeted the Ghanian striker as a replacement for the injured Gonzalo Higuain. In fairness though he has also stated that European stars Edin Dzeko and Hugo Almeida are on his transfer radar, as is the charming Emmanuel Adebayor.
Gyan, 25 (apparently), has been a revelation at Sunderland scoring 6 goals in 12 appearances for the Black Cats. But could he do the business in La Liga? And what fee would his services command? Maybe it could be a swap deal with Cristiano Ronaldo?
