In his debut season in English football, Lucas Digne was easily one of the best left-backs on show.
Going forward, the 26-year-old was the embodiment of a modern-day full-back. He scored goals, he created them and was an overall menace in attack. Averaging 2.4 crosses per game, no player in the Premier League averaged more (via WhoScored). With two key passes per game, he was also in the top 10 for that category despite being a defender.
Given that level of creativity, it is no wonder Digne finished the Premier League campaign with four assists to go with his four goals — extremely good numbers for any full-back not called Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Despite joining Everton from Barcelona for £18m, according to Transfermarkt, his market valuation was only around £16m at the time. However, since then, that number has gone up to £31.5m — and you would expect that figure to only grow.

On the creative front, it has been another strong season at Goodison Park for Digne. He has already racked up five assists in the Premier League and is leading his team-mates in most attacking areas.
The France international is averaging the most crosses per game with 2.3 — similar to his average from last term — and is making the most key passes with 2.3 again. When he is on the pitch for the Toffees, he truly does give them another outlet in attack.
When you take all of that into account, indeed, Digne has to be worth £30m at a bare minimum.
