Manchester United fans are looking up with massive smiles on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they see the video footage from their Player of Year Awards.
While it was not exactly a shocker to see David De Gea clean up when it came to the awards, along with Juan Mata, who managed to get goal of the season after that cracker against Liverpool, not many people expected manager Louis van Gaal to take to the stage appearing to be slightly drunk, and rant on for a substantial amount of time, issuing a rallying cry and going back for more to make sure that the saxophone player got the attention and applause Ryan Giggs felt she deserved.
It was mad stuff, but utterly compelling to watch.
