As the transfer window approaches all manner of fanciful rumours are drummed up by the papers in order to shift more copies thus we see stories like Arsenal to sign Benzema for £30m (We all know Wenger is as tight as a wrestler’s headlock and that would NEVER happen). But what are the transfers if any that could possibly go through?
Manuel Neuer
Despite Fergie coming out saying that he would keep faith in Ben Foster, the England number 1 is still yet to impress and again could be seen to be at fault for the goal United conceded against Besiktas that cost them their long running European record.
Neuer’s agent has come out saying United have shown interest in his client and I wouldn’t be surprised if this one became more than just a rumour.

Edin Dzeko
United have just 3 established forwards in Rooney, Owen and Berbatov and it was thought that Fergie would have signed a forward in the summer after the departures of Tevez and Ronaldo.
Dzeko, valued at £15m, grabbed a goal at Old Trafford when United faced Wolfsburg in the Champions League but Fergie will face stiff competition for the tall Bosnian’s signature from Arsene Wenger.

David Silva & David Villa
These two have been on United’s radar for a while with United already having a bid rejected for Silva. With Valencia’s financial situation yet to improve and only being able to offer the duo Europa League football, I’m sure they will be more open to a move away from the Mestala stadium.
