According to many a report, City are posed to make Arsenal another offer for Alexis Sanchez in the upcoming window. Despite the Gunners rejecting a last minute attempt to secure the Chilean on deadline day in the summer, Pep Guardiola is set to go back in for the striker that must surely send this current City team into the stratosphere.

Already with an impressive squad assembled, the capture of Sanchez should leave the rest of the Premier League shaking their heads in disbelief and also send a clear message to the rest of Europe that the Citizens mean business in 2018.

Guardiola wants to create a dynasty with City over his coming years and a frontline that can cause so many headaches as this one would surely be a good start. LAM: Alexis Sanchez

Having worked under Guardiola to great success at Barcelona, the Chilean will know all about the man in charge at the Etihad. A truly wonderful forward, Sanchez’s hard work ties nicely into City’s ridiculously high press and his ability in front of goal really is there for all to see.

With that in mind, he could be the missing piece in this Man City side as they chase the Champions League.

CAM: Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgian midfielder has been one of the players of the season so far and really grown into the role since his move from Wolfsburg. Playing in the number 10 role just behind City’s record scorer would be a deadly duo and the amount goals that they could score would be terrifying.

With his range of passing and ability to cut a defence within one ball, De Bruyne can only mature as a player in the coming seasons under Guardiola, the City boss could, as a rotation option, swap and change him David Silva has the Spaniard enters his twilight years.

RAM: Raheem Sterling

The England winger, since his move from Liverpool, like De Bruyne has grown into the role. This season has seen Raheem Sterling really up his game under Guardiola and turned into a real threat coming in from deep and not only providing assists but adding goals to his game also.

Standing on the right side of a trio with Sanchez and De Bruyne just behind the striker could create City their own fab four going forward which would go toe-to-toe with any team in Europe. Combine that with two decent holding midfielders playing just behind them, this team could eclipse Pep’s Barcelona team.

ST: Sergio Aguero

Although Aguero may not be Guardiola’s first choice of a striker, often choosing to play Brazilian Jesus because of his work rate and closing down from the front, nobody can deny what the Argentine can bring to the team in terms of goals. Aguero will go down in City folklore for what he did back in 2012 winning City their first title in 44 years and is a firm fan favourite despite being out of favour.

Spearheading at the front of this attacking force would surely revitalise the striker and see him stand out alone as the record goalscorer for many a decade.
