Perennially injured striker Danny Ings appears set for the Anfield exit door in January with Liverpool reportedly prepared to allow him to depart on loan.
And Team Talk have suggested that Merseyside rivals Everton are among several clubs sharing an interest in the diminutive forward, which would certainly stir things up between the two sets of fans in the Transfer Tavern. Abel Xavier was the last man to cross Stanley Park when the Reds snapped up the Mozambican from the Toffees in 2002- he became the first player to feature in the Merseyside derby for both sides in the same season- so it would be interesting if the former Burnley starlet were to complete the switch.
However, the most important decision for him is to find a solution that guarantees the most time on the field after a series of injury issues hampered his development. A continuous knee problem has rendered him unable to establish himself under manager Jurgen Klopp and despite reaching full-fitness, he has still recorded just seventeen-minutes of senior action this season. So the best move for both parties is likely to be a temporary spell with another club and teams such as Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Championship outfit Leeds United reportedly circling.
And with that in mind, here’s how Liverpool fans and fans of Ings’ potential clubs reacted to this news…
@ empireofthekop I wish Danny Ings go to Crystal Palace, he will surely fine a place at the start up
