Our Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are slightly nervous to what could be a season-defining week at Wembley.
The Gunners start off the week as they end it, with a trip to Wembley, but first up before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, is the little matter for our regulars in the bar of a north London derby against rivals Spurs.
The season could go one of two ways depending on the outcome after the midday kick-off, there’s no doubt about it. Indeed, Arsenal currently trail Spurs by four points in the league with time running out. In a bid to regain Champions League football once again at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal cannot afford to drop any points.
In a perfect week for Arsene Wenger, the Gunners close the gap to one point and win the first League Cup under his management with the season fully kicking off with their new-look attack. For that to happen, our landlord believes that these two players need to be at the races come 12:30 pm…
Jack Wilshere

The England midfielder has rediscovered his form in recent months with a string of decent displays for the Gunners. Having missed the 5-1 drubbing of Everton last week, Wilshere will be eager to get back involved and show Wenger he can be apart of this exciting and new look team.
Our punters feel that a good all-around performance from Wilshere in such a big game, will not only put him in the Arsenal window, but more importantly for himself back into England contention.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Armenian shared the headlines with Aaron Ramsey at weekend after a hat-trick of assists in his home debut. After being apart of the Alexis Sanchez deal and being teamed back up with his old Dortmund pal Aubameyang, it looks as if Mkhitaryan as a new lease of life at the Emirates.
Wenger will hope this form continues into this week as they look for two massive performances from one of the players that can really make the Gunners tick.
