It seems that Timo Werner had all but signed for Liverpool given the constant flurry of speculation linking him to Anfield (Sport via Sport Witness).
As it stands, though, the Germany international is still on the books of RB Leipzig, with him appearing for the Bundesliga outfit last weekend against Freiburg. Although he was unable to find the back of the net on Saturday, he still has 27 goals in all competitions for Die Rotenbullen this term.

The Reds continue to be the front-runners for his signature and now The Athletic reporter James Pearce has provided another update. Talking on the The Red Agenda, he said that while the 24-year-old’s representatives have held talks with Barcelona and other top clubs, the striker is desperate to make the switch to Merseyside.
