The RB Leipzig centre-forward has been in stunning form so far this campaign, having scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists before the season was suspended due to the current pandemic sweeping across the planet, and the Reds have been the front runners for quite a while.

They have already been said to be in advanced talks, and Werner himself has done little to stop the rumours with some of his interviews since the initial links broke out. With a release clause said to be worth £50m, he would represent good value as well.

The latest update should be good news for the Anfield outfit. According to Bleacher Report, he is taking English lessons in an attempt to be ready to make the switch to Merseyside.
