West Bromwich Albion fans are delighted after it was confirmed Conor Townsend has extended his contract at the club.
The 27-year-old moved to the Hawthorns from Scunthorpe in 2018 and has been in and out of the team so far this campaign, playing 10 games in the Premier League (Transfermarkt). Although has not been in the team for every game, he has been the Baggies’ second-best player this season according to WhoScored, with an average rating of 6.78.
Now, the club have confirmed that the defender has signed a contract that will keep him in the Midlands until 2024. This is good news for West Brom, although there are a number of other players whose contracts also run out at the end of the campaign.
