According to The Sun, West Bromwich Albion “would be willing to stump up” £15m to bring Bournemouth forward Josh King to the Hawthorns.
Baggies ready for King move
He would be available on a free transfer in the summer therefore, but the Midlands outfit could do with him now. As such, he could well cost £15m, a fee which Sam Allardyce and co are ready to pay, along with Newcastle.
There is no doubt that this would a big move from West Brom. After all, their record transfer stands only at £18m, which they spent on Grady Diangana. However, desperate times do call for desperate measures, and the Baggies could do a lot worse than King.
Would you like to sign Josh King?
Called “outstanding” by former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, King has failed to score in eight games in the Championship so far this term. However, he has netted 48 times in 161 matches in the Premier League, which is a decent track record in the top flight. This promises to be a busy transfer window for West Brom as Big Sam plots his transformation of the team, with Robert Snodgrass and Andy Lonergan already on the way. It remains to be seen whether King also comes in.
In other news, West Brom fans rage at this transfer update.
