West Brom: Baggies failed in January move for Cyle Larin

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, West Bromwich Albion had a bid for Besiktas striker Cyle Larin rejected in January.
Larin move failed
The report says the Baggies had their eye on the Canada international last month. They are believed to have offered a loan fee of €500,000 (£433,000), with a €10m (£8.7m) option to buy.
However, the Super Lig side rejected the approach.
Disappointing
Larin’s star has been on the rise for a number of years. 44 goals in 89 matches in the MLS for Orlando Pride (Transfermarkt) saw him earn a move to Europe, and was dubbed as being ‘extremely dangerous in the box’. That’s not to mention the fact that his former teammate at Orlando, Brazil legend, Kaka, spoke glowingly about him too, saying he could go far.
In 54 matches for Besiktas, he has 23 strikes, including 15 this campaign, while he also netted nine times on loan at Zulte Waregem. Not only a goalscorer, he has 22 assists to his name across his career.
Would you like to sign Cyle Larin?
Yes

No

In the end, Sam Allardyce signed Mbaye Diagne on loan to boost his attack, and the Senegal international has already made his mark, scoring in the Hawthorns outfit’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United. Should the Midlands side pull off a shock and remain in the top flight, Larin could well be an astute target for the coming season. For now, though, Allardyce and co must concentrate on the job at hand.
In other news, West Brom fans want to sign this former Champions League winner.
