West Bromwich Albion fans are eager to see their club sign Daniel Sturridge on a free transfer.
According to 90min.com, the Baggies are interested in signing the 31-year-old free agent. He has not played since March of last year, and has also been banned from football during that time after breaching betting regulations (The Guardian). However, with 118 career goals to his name and 26 England caps (Transfermarkt), he is a player with plenty of quality when at his best.
Sturridge actually spent the second half of the 2017/18 campaign on loan at the Hawthorns, but failed to score as he amassed just 116 minutes on the pitch. However, despite that struggle, a number of supporters would like to see him return to the Midlands.
Would you like to sign Daniel Sturridge?
The fans took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts on the 26-cap star.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about Sturridge below
“He won’t cost that much now Gary, you could probably sign him for less than my day rate …..I say give him a go!”
“I really hope so”
“Should have brought him in months ago.. probably take months to get match fit now thou….. We have 1 proper forward”
“Is he any worse than ivanovic what a waste of money that is. Our starting line up on Sunday 6 out of the 8 summer signings didn’t play ( not good enough) now that’s wasted money. You never know his got talent no doubt, pay as you play can’t lose IMO.”
