West Bromwich Albion could sign Angers forward Stephane Bahoken according to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, who claims the Baggies have been offered the chance of a loan deal.
Baggies offered Bahoken
Would you like to sign Stephane Bahoken?
Sam Allardyce, though, will likely still be looking to add to his squad as he looks to keep the Midlands outfit in the Premier League. Now, he has reportedly been offered Bahoken this month, as Solhekol spoke about a source live on air, saying “they are telling us” that “he’s been offered” as a loan with an option to buy.
Bahoken has not done terribly at Angers so far this campaign – he has managed five goals in 16 matches in all competitions – but he is far from a prolific forward. His highest tally in a league campaign is 11 strikes, while he has just 51 career goals despite being 28 years of age.
He has also been enshrouded in controversy in recent months – he was recently fined and received a suspended prison sentence for domestic abuse, while he also had to pay a large fine for a traffic violation as well. Currently valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt, he may not come too cheap either, which would be a worry for the Baggies when they can reportedly only spend up to £2m on any one player. Really, they should be looking for someone a little more proven.
In other news, West Brom fans hammer these Allardyce comments.
