According to Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett, West Bromwich Albion’s deal for Okay Yokuslu will end the club’s pursuit of Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

However, that deal will put an end to the Baggies’ interest in signing Maitland-Niles on loan until the end of the campaign.
Disappointing
While Yokuslu may be a good player, Maitland-Niles would have perhaps been a more astute signing. The 23-year-old has plenty of Premier League experience to his name, and has experience of winning trophies with Arsenal.

Valued at £16.2m (Transfermarkt), a loan deal would be the only option for the Baggies, and the Gunners starlet’s versatility could have provided a big boost to Big Sam’s squad depth.
Whether Yokuslu will prove to be the better signing remains to be seen – Allardyce will be hoping he hits the ground running at the Hawthorns.
In other news, West Brom failed in a bid for this midfielder.
