West Ham United fans are livid after talkSPORT presenter Jim White suggested Hammers supporters were angry the club paid £5m to sign Vladimir Coufal from Slavia Prague.
The Irons purchased Coufal last summer from the Czech outfit. With Europa League and Champions League experience to his name, there were few who could argue the price they paid for the 28-year-old was excessive. Reportedly, it was Tomas Soucek who recommended David Sullivan and co should move for the right-back as he had played with him at Slavia (Ceska Televize).

However, White has suggested the Hammers fans slammed the board for the transfer (talkSPORT via hammersnews). While Gold, Sullivan and Brady are far from popular amongst the club’s supporters (hammersunited.com), there is no indication this was the case, and the comments have angered the Irons faithful.
