West Ham United: David Gold confirms new statue outside London Stadium

Writing on Twitter, controversial West Ham United chairman David Gold has shared some ‘excellent news’ with supporters – going on to confirm that the club will erect a statue memorial of club icons Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.
Gold, who has attracted protests surrounding GSB’s current running of the club, appears to be earning rare praise from Hammers supporters for once – they are fully behind his next big move.
Should GSB stay or sell up after this latest move?
Stay

Sell, no question

The legendary West Ham trio were pivotal members of England’s 1966 World Cup winning squad, with Gold now confirming that a monument in their honour will be built four years after the club moved to their new ground.
Confirming the announcement on social media, plenty of West Ham fans are ecstatic they’re finally getting a statue of their three greatest sons outside the new London Stadium.
