According to a report by asromalive.it, as translated and shared by Sport Witness, West Ham United has emerged as the ‘only viable destination’ for AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko amid his fall out with manager Paulo Fonseca – with GSB and the Irons now becoming a potential frontrunner as the only club reportedly keen on a move.
West Ham only option for Dzeko
As explained by this update, Juventus have once again rejected the idea of signing the former Manchester City striker this month, and West Ham could be the only club in the running as it stands.
Dzeko has apparently been against a move to east London (asromalive.it), but a lack of options has potentially propelled West Ham as the ‘only viable destination’ for him as options for a move away grow thin.
The ex-Premier League front man, who won two league titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and one Community Shield in Manchester, has reportedly been open to the idea of returning to England – but it is thought he’d prefer a move to a top side.
La Repubblica recently claimed that West Ham are ‘at the window’ for Dzeko and are ‘desperately’ looking to sign him.
Transfer Tavern take
Now, it appears West Ham may be the only club currently interested in signing Dzeko as per this claim, with the Bosnian potentially having a choice to make over whether he wishes to remain on the Roma sidelines or opt for an east London move.
Speaking to Sky Sports (via areanapoli.it), former Hammers favourite Paolo Di Canio recently branded Dzeko as ‘extraordinary’ – and his last minute arrival could be a big boost to West Ham if he decides to move.
