Our Nottingham Forest fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that this season is going to yield a few positive surprises with the campaign underway.
The Tricky Trees have certainly started well enough with them beating Millwall over the opening weekend 1-0 and yesterday they carried on building momentum with a win in the League Cup.
The Reds beat Shrewsbury 2-1 at the City Ground to progress to the next stage of the competition in a game that also saw Jason Cummings make his debut and score.
Indeed, the summer signing found the back of the net and was certainly happy about that after tweeting about excitement after the game.
