Crystal Palace finally look to be heading in the right direction especially after stunning the current league leaders Chelsea at the weekend with a 2-1 win at the Bridge.

Sam Allardyce is really doing what we here at the Transfer Tavern had expected from him and that’s keeping Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

If they do stay up or even if for some reason they do go down they have to be smart with what players they allow to leave the club this summer.

Should they stay up, which is highly likely at this point, then there are at least a handful of players they should really look to keep at the club to ensure that next season they aren’t near the bottom, and so that they can build on what they’ve already got in the summer.

So with that in mind, it’s vital that Crystal Palace do not lose these TWO stars in the summer window…

WILFRIED ZAHA

The Ivorian winger has been pivotal in the rise up the table for the Eagles and has given them hope of survival this campaign.

Even in the darkest times at Selhurst Park this season the winger has been superb and shown glimpses of magic. With bigger teams likely to be interested in the winger there is no doubt how important he is to the club.

If they lose him it’ll be tough to find someone with his talent and experience to replace him with.

CHRISTIAN BENTEKE

The other goalscorer in the recent 2-1 victory over Chelsea alongside Zaha and what a finish it was! He completely humiliated his Belgian counterpart Courtois in goal.

He has shown moments of magic for the Eagles this season, sending us back in time to his Villa days before his departure to an unsuccessful spell at Liverpool.

He can be a real difference maker at times and he is a player they simply must ensure is still at the club come September.
