‘Who needs Jordan Pickford?!!’ - Most Leeds fans really want to see this man in goal next season

The Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been calling for Bailey Peacock-Farrell to be given the starting role at Elland Road next season in response to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post that claims the club are looking to fill their No 1 vacancy this week.

The club had long been in talks with Birmingham over the signing of David Stockdale. However, Victor Orta was unable to agree to a deal with ex-Leeds gaffer Garry Monk for the veteran EFL shot-stopper. This has left the club in a tough position as they now need to find a goalkeeper from somewhere. Chelsea goalkeeper, Jamal Blackman has been linked with a loan move to the club, however, Leeds fans would rather stick with one of their own.

The Whites all seem to want to give Bailey Peacock-Farrell a chance in the first-team. Paul Heckingbottom was the man who threw the young ‘keeper his first chance in the Championship and the 21-year-old inexperienced young man between the sticks took his chance with both hands, making 11 starts at the back end of last season, keeping one clean sheet and only shipping 18 goals, despite having a shambles of a back-four in front of him.
