The Manchester United faithful are back in the Transfer Tavern tonight and they’ve got more to be excited about than just their new signings.

Manchester United have had a very expensive transfer window so far, bringing in Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic.

Jose Mourinho will surely be targeting the Premier League trophy come the end of the season following the huge spending spree this summer.

After winning the Europa league last season, the Portuguese manager now has Champions League football to prepare for but he’s also got to think a little further down the line.

United have plenty of ‘players for the future’ within their ranks and given the fact that they probably won’t be getting first team football anytime soon, it makes sense for certain players to go out on loan.

This can give them the first team experience needed to actually be an asset to the Red Devils upon their return.

With that being said, here are two Man Utd players who should spend next season on loan in the Championship…

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Following on from only making four appearances in the league last season, it would make sense to loan out Timothy Fosu-Mensah to get him some first team action.

Watford are rumoured to want the player on loan for the season but our landlord thinks a Championship club would be more suitable for the Dutchman right now.

Fosu-Mensah would be guaranteed first team football in the Championship and should he be loaned to a side like Aston Villa or Sunderland, he could play a huge role in a potential promotion push.

Scott McTominay

20-year-old Scott McTominay has caught the eye of Jose Mourinho after an impressive pre-season so far.

It looks like the Portuguese boss now sees him as a player he can utilise in the near future but for now, a loan move to give the youngster consistent first team football makes the most sense.

Keep him playing constantly whilst he is on this wave of momentum and who knows where it can carry him.
